Ocean Swim Orange County is a group of open water swimmers, usually swimming from Tower 9 in Huntington Beach, about ½ mile south of the pier.
We mostly meet Tuesdays/Thursdays and Saturdays in the morning. You can check events for upcoming swims.
You can contact us to join in one of our morning swims. If you can already swim 300 yards nonstop, tread water for at least 3 minutes, and swim ~1,000 yards in one session, you should be fine. Those are about the minimum requirements for a shorter swim. While a swimming background helps, familiarity with open water swimming helps more.
